Unveiling the Veils.

Chauffeur driven Mercedes Benz? No recession while the rest of the world suffers? Welcome to Saudi Arabia, where women have to cover themselves in a garment known as the "burka" or the "abaya." On the other side of the world, Sarkozy publicly declared his distaste for these veils. Four days later, his distaste was met with John Galliano, Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci, Blumarine and Alberta Ferreti dedicating their entire fashion show to designer abayas. These veils, ranging from $5, 500 to $11,150, are going to be given as gifts to Saks Fifth Avenue's most faithful Saudi customers. Shopping at Saks has become the new religion.
